The three common formats

Gels and powdersBlend into smoothies or recipes. Often need refrigeration once opened.
GummiesEasy to take daily. Check the sugar content and serving size.
CapsulesNo taste, a fixed amount per serving and a long shelf life.

What to check on any label

  • Third-party testing for purity and contaminants.
  • Serving size and the amount of each active ingredient.
  • Added ingredients such as sugar, flavors or fillers.
  • Storage instructions and expiry date.

Health note: general information, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before starting a supplement, especially if you are pregnant, take medication or have a medical condition.
